I assisted in planning and promoting events across campus and beyond, while also designing merchandise and creating resources for the community. These projects gave me the opportunity to play a larger role in the campus community.

Through thoughtful design and promotion, I helped create engaging experiences that connected with students and strengthened the office’s presence on campus.

RESTROOM MAP

While speaking with community members at events and on social media, I noticed frequent questions about gender-neutral restrooms on campus. To address this, I researched and located all such restrooms across campus, reaching out to staff and surveying the grounds myself to ensure accuracy. I then designed a comprehensive map that was both aesthetically pleasing and easy to understand, making these facilities more accessible for LGBTQ+ students and the broader campus community.

PRIDE STICKERS

With the lion as our school mascot, I designed the “Pride Stickers” to give students a way to show support for the LGBTQ+ community on campus. I also created versions featuring specific pride flags, allowing individuals to represent their own identities. Each design was crafted to be visually appealing, accessible, and meaningful, helping increase visibility and foster a sense of belonging on campus.

EVENT PROMOTION

I mainly promoted LGBTQ Services events through social media to reach students who might not feel comfortable reading physical flyers. Every Monday, I designed graphics for the upcoming week’s events to encourage engagement and awareness. I also created printed flyers and placed them in high-traffic areas on campus, such as residence halls, elevators, and workspaces, ensuring the events were accessible to the entire community.
